One of the first gins I tried when I started exploring the world of craft gins was Ink Gin. It is still a favourite today. Apart from being a beautiful deep purple colour in the bottle and the world’s first patented Butterfly Pea Gin, Ink Gin is bursting with flavour like the botanical gardens exploding inside your mouth.
The citrus flavours from the sundried sweet orange peel and lemon myrtle leaf are bold as is the juniper with a little heat following from the Tasmanian pepper berry. The beautiful butterfly pea flowers that give this gin it’s colour also add some floral notes to the taste. With 13 organic botanicals all together, this is a gin I enjoy easily in a G&T with Mediterranean tonic as well as a key component in some delicious cocktails.
Bottle is 700mls and price is $82 AUD
