Black Violet gin won the bronze award in the English Contemporary Style Gin category at the World Gin Awards 2020 earlier this year. Black Violet gin is defined by black cardamom and sweet violet. This is a sultry gin who’s botanicals enhance its complexity. It’s a juniper-forward gin, with a slightly smokey violet edge. Hibiscus and butterfly pea flower give it the colour, as they are infused in Chase spring water from Cannock. There are many ways in which this gin can be served. For dry gin lovers serve with light Indian tonic water, or for something sweeter with lemonade.
For something different I followed Jay’s suggestion of Franklin and Sons rhubarb and hibiscus tonic water and garnish with some dried hibiscus flowers that were kindly provided by Jay in my delivery
